The newly established Avon Newage Cycles unit, situated near Neelon Canal, has bagged Gold Certificate in ZED certification of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) for its high-end bicycle production.
This certification recognizes units that prioritize the supreme quality (zero defects-zero effects) of their products. Achieving Gold Certification requires upgrades in units, adherence to pollution standards, and various other enhancements.
Avon Cycles Limited stands among only eight units in the city to have received this prestigious recognition.
Giving more information Rishi Pahwa, joint managing director of Avon Cyclessaid, "Avon Group initiated Avon Newage a few years ago, specifically to manufacture high-end bicycles. With an investment of approximately Rs. 100 crores, Avon Cycles has established a modern high-end cycle plant in this unit. The unit is geared to export bicycles to Europe, aiming to export around 200,000 cycles to Europe by March 2024 through Avon Newage"
