With five out of 43 contesting candidates have skipped the second inspection of the accounts on Saturday, a notice has been issued to each of the five absentee candidates. These absentee candidates have been asked to come on Monday (May 27) for the same exercise at 10 am in VC room, Suvidha centre, District Administrative complex. These candidates include Amritpal Singh of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), Shivam Yadav of Global Republican Party, Pritpal Singh of Bahujan Dravida Party, independents Ravinder Pal Singh and Paramjit Singh.
However on Saturday, Expenditure observers for the Ludhiana Parliamentary Constituency, Pankaj Kumar, IRS, and Chetan D Kalamkar, IRS, had cross-checked the shadow registers of the remaining 38 contesting candidates with their registers at Bachat Bhawan, district administrative complex from 10 am to 5 pm.
