In a first, new Ludhiana DC launches Twitter handle for Complaints

In a first-of-its-kind move newly appointed Deputy Commissioner IAS Sakshi Sawhney who took charge of district on Tuesday launched the official Twitter handle for Ludhiana district @LudhianaDC. Speaking on the ocassion Deputy Commissioner said that Ludhiana residents could now tweet their complaints and grievances to the administration on @LudhianaDC the official X (twitter) account of district administration Ludhiana. DC also said, "A dedicated team administering the handles will report the important tweets to her office. Important complaints will be forwarded to the concerned authorities and a proper mechanism will be evolved to address these issues promptly" IAS Sawhney also said that it was a better conversation medium widely used nowadays and this mode will be effectively used to reach maximum people. She said that any Ludhiana resident could reach the administration directly and a quick response will be rendered. Upon her joining at Ludhiana, DC today paid obeisance at Shri Durga Mata Mandir near Jagraon Bridge, Jama Masjid and Gurudwara Shri Dukhniwaran Sahib in Field Ganj.
