Cutting-edge Technology Takes Center Stage at 13th MACHAUTO Expo

The 13th MACHAUTO Expo, hosting over 650 local and international companies, has become the epicenter of innovation, collaboration, and progress in the manufacturing industry. It is witnessing an overwhelming response from industry leaders, exhibitors, and visitors alike.

The expo has garnered attention for its cutting-edge technologies aimed at enhancing quality, delivery efficiency, and reducing input costs across various sectors. Exhibitors have showcased revolutionary advancements in Artificial Intelligence integrated into cutting machines, welding equipment, marking machines, and more, captivating the interest of visitors on the second day of the expo.

The footfall at the expo has surpassed 20,000 visitors in just two days, underscoring the eagerness among attendees to explore a vast array of machine tools and technologies. International participation has been robust, with foreign companies expressing considerable interest in collaborating with local manufacturers.

Munetoshi Watanabe, Deputy Managing Director of Japan-based Mazak company, highlighted their commitment to local manufacturing, citing the establishment of a new plant in Pune last year and keeping Punjab on their priority while planning the next plant. Sanjay Dhawan, Regional Manager of Mazak India, said that earlier it used to take around 5-6 weeks to ship products from Japan to India, but with the establishment of a plant in India, transit times and shipping costs have been reduced, ensuring prompt delivery of the product. Moreover, the machines brought by them, including CNC Turning Centre, Vertical Machining Centre, and Horizontal Machining centre, claim better production speed and accuracy, better than 4 microns.

Upkar Singh Ahuja, President of Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), emphasized the crucial role of technology upgradation to fulfill three components —QCT — good Quality, Cost-effectiveness, and timely Delivery for meeting international standards for exports. He noted that the expo's extensive display of over 10,000 latest products and services is instrumental in facilitating this transition. He mentioned that around 10 foreign delegates who had visited the expo and had participated in the business summit have also expressed their satisfaction in visiting Punjab and exploring Punjab industries.

The esteemed dignitaries including Neel Garg, Chairman of Punjab Medium Industry Development Board, and Sharanpal Singh Makkar, Chairman of the Planning Board, Adv. Paramvir Prince, Vice-Chairman, Medium Industry Development Board; Dr. Deepak Bansal, Lok Sabha In-charge, Ludhiana, and Director, PSIDC along with other members of Aam Aadmi Party graced the occasion with their presence. Garg and Makkar said that the state government under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to strengthening the industrial landscape in Punjab. During the visit, Industry leaders from CICU articulated their key demands, seeking governmental support to push growth and enhance competitiveness.

Besides, MLA Daljit Singh Grewal (Bhola) from Ludhiana East constituency also graced the event. Parminder Singh Brar, General Secretary of BJP Punjab, commended the organizers for providing a platform conducive to innovation and collaboration. He reiterated the central government's dedication to supporting Punjab's industrial sector. He was accompanied by BJP district president Rajnish Dhiman, Ludhiana rural president Raminder Singh Sangowal, and spokesperson Gurdeep Singh Gosha.

GS Dhillon, Managing Director of Udan Media & Communications Private Limited stated that the expo is witnessing a wonderful response and the attendees are appreciating the availability of a huge variety under one roof. He said that on Sunday, being a holiday, the footfall is expected to cross the mark of 40,000.

There are products under various categories including Machine Tools - Cutting, Machine Tools Accessories, Machine Tool - Forming, Welding & Cutting, Robotics & Automation, Electrical & Electronics Products, Hydraulic & Pneumatics, Industrial Supplies, and many more being displayed here at the expo.

The 13th MACHAUTO Expo is organized by Udan Media and Communications Pvt. Ltd., powered by the Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) and in association with the Association of Ludhiana Machine Tool Industries (ALMTI), and the Auto Parts Manufacturers Association (APMA).
