With just 48 hours remaining before voting to elect office-bearers of the United Cycle and Parts Manufacturers Association (UCPMA) on August 29^th, campaigning has gathered pace. All eight candidates of Team Lucky, led by presidential nominee Harsimerjit Singh Lucky and Senior Vice President post candidate Avtar Singh Bhogal, canvassed across different areas and interacted with UCPMA members. They were accompanied by patrons and supporters including Gurmeet Singh Kular, Jatinder Mittal and others.

Meanwhile, Avtar Singh Bhogal, who is prominent candidate from the team spoke to EliteTimesTV and said, “It is clear from the overwhelming support we are receiving wherever we go for campaigning, that our team will make a clean sweep in these elections. We will win all seats with record margins and Team Lucky will lead UCPMA. Everyone is appreciating the vision of our group and therefore extending wholehearted support for the welfare and upliftment of the bicycle industry, especially the small units located in mixed land-use areas. People these days are fully aware, they know who are the right people to lead the association and resolve the industry’s problems without indulging in politics.”

 Bhogal also took a swipe at his opponents, saying, “Some people are spreading rumours that it is difficult to contact or meet me, and that if elected I will not be accessible to resolve members’ issues. I want to make it clear this is all rubbish, only being said to confuse people. Everyone knows that for over three generations, the Bhogal family has been attached to the bicycle industry right down to the grassroots. Be it any issue related to the industry, I am always present where required. Recently, when the deadline issue for mixed land-use (MLU) units arose, I personally attended a meeting in Chandigarh with cabinet ministers and other senior officials to raise the matter in the strongest possible way. Moreover, for more than fifteen years I have been actively connected with UCPMA and government departments, so I am fully aware of how to get industry issues resolved, especially those of small and micro units.”

Bhogal also added, “As far as Team Lucky is concerned, this team is by far one of the strongest ever in any UCPMA election. All our eight candidates are the best fit to lead the association, with the experience and qualities needed to do what is best for the cycle industry and UCPMA members. We will bring everyone together on one platform and work for the welfare of the industry.”
